EDUCATION AND MARKETING DIRECTOR POSITION
•Skilled at multi-tasking and highly organized
•Must have high communication and diplomatic skills
•Be computer literate with proficiency in Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop and Adobe InDesign

EDUCATION DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Understand IA rules and regulations for continuing and pre-license education
•Maintain school approval in IA
•Maintain course approvals in IA including renewals
•Monitor instructor approvals (be sure instructor is approved before using or get approval if needed) and evaluate performance
•Maintain school student records in accordance with IA rules
•Attend occasional out-of-town conferences
•Management of classes:
•Shop for and schedule classes, secure instructors, communicate and accommodate instructor needs before classes
•Create/produce and organize new classes (The Green Series, PRO/AMs, etc.)
•Schedule CE and pre-license courses to meet school, member and general agent needs according to renewal requirements
•On occasion schedule, proctor and administer (certificates, records, etc.) courses for outside associations
•Promote classes by flyers and emails, etc.
•Record sign-ups, send confirmations, file according to class
•Classroom set-up
•Prepare check-in roster, namecards, evaluation forms
•Process payments
•Provide instructor with appropriate services (making sure they are comfortable and able to teach effectively)
•Prep materials – books, handouts, evaluations, tests, etc.
•Prep food/beverage service as needed
•Administer and grade tests, if needed
•Prepare certificates
•Prepare final roster
•Answer agent questions and provide counseling regarding continuing education requirements and their records at ICAAR
•Answer public questions about getting a license in Iowa
•Maintain good relationship with members and staff
•Maintain education-related communications with NAR and other state/local association education staff
•Maintain strong and respectful relationship with Iowa Real Estate Commission through communication and compliance
•Website: Maintain Education Services section of ICAAR website
•Enter and update classes into Course Catalog and Education calendars
•Assist members to gain access and to navigate the new site
•Work with webmaster for changes/edits/improvements


MARKETING DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Create marketing materials such as ads, brochures, flyers, posters, press releases for promotion of the association, its members and its events
•Media Breakfasts:
•Provide support materials, contact media
•Maintain media list
•Coordinate and organize, promote and work events such as the Scrub Your Paws for a Cause Dog Wash, Safety 411 and community collaborations such as the Seniors Safety Talks
•Liaison to PR committee and related task forces
•Assist Chair with scheduling and planning monthly meetings
•Attend monthly meetings
•Provide guidance and association perspectives to committee as they determine their work

•Branding Campaign:
Be the central connection for the task force, create/write ads when needed, research media opportunities, contract with media, take action according to instructions from Branding and PR committee

•Dog Wash Coordinator/Organizer:
Produce print materials, press releases, and marketing plans, push chair(s) to get posters/flyers distributed and sign up volunteers, recruit vet volunteers, follow-up on all activities and commitments, maintain timeline of activities, maintain supplies and replace what is needed, prep before wash (can include cleaning site and collecting promised supplies), work day of, compile and report results and get thank you’s out

•Liaison to Member Services Committee and related task forces
•Assist Chair with scheduling and planning monthly meetings
•Attend monthly meetings
•Provide guidance and association perspectives to committee as they determine their work

•REALTOR STUFF newsletter:
•Plan with Committee
•Encourage members to write contributions
•Produce, write extras and fillers, design and distribute

•Press Citizen:
•Ensure that article is written and submitted to the Press-Citizen on a weekly basis
•Proof and approve article
•Archive articles to files and the website (re-establish once new website is in place)
•Assist with projects/programs where committee identifies needs

•Website:
•Assist members to gain access and to navigate the new site
•Work with webmaster for changes/edits/improvements

Possible future responsibilities:
•Administer and manage online courses which requires:
•Monitor students
•Maintain course approvals
•Maintain course updates and replacements
•Monitor and resolve technical problems
•Completion – certificates and records

Administer and manage Home Study courses:
•Monitor students
•Maintain course approvals
•Maintain course updates and replacements
•Order books, maintain in-house materials
•Complete courses – testing, certificates, record results
