Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of the production process to ensure that goods are manufactured efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role is critical in coordinating production activities, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to meet company objectives and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and control production timelines to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Review and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in production demands.
  • Determine the human resources required to meet production goals and ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Assess and acquire the material resources necessary for production to run smoothly.
  • Manage both human and material resources effectively to achieve production targets.
  • Make informed decisions regarding equipment usage, maintenance, modification, and procurement to support production needs.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline production operations.
  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures are strictly adhered to by the production team.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Analyze production processes and quality control measures to identify and correct issues promptly.
  • Determine and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed production reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Accurately estimate production costs to aid in budgeting and financial planning.
  • Implement cost control programs to manage expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between procurement, distribution, and management departments to support seamless production operations.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, industrial technology preferred
  • 3-5 years of production management experience preferred

  • Strength to lift, push, pull, and move up to 55 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work in both warm and cool environments.

  • Dexterity to perform fast, repeated movements with fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Agility to move arms and legs swiftly.

  • Stamina to remain physically active for long periods without becoming tired or out of breath.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged durations.
  • Clear hearing for phone and in-person communication, and clear speech to convey information effectively.
  • Sufficient vision, with or without corrective lenses, to read and interpret information.
