Schedule: 

  • Hours will be 4:15 pm – 2:45 am Mon-Thu.

Hourly Wage:

  • Our press brake operators start at $19.22/hour, plus an additional $1/hour shift premium for 2nd shift.

Operation of the brake press, stamping presses and/or PEM.

This position demands an understanding of the basic operation of a press brake, the mechanical properties of metals, inspection of parts prior to releasing to finished container and blue print reading in performing the following duties:

  • Correctly setup the press brake using proper tooling, basic modification and adjustments to existing CNC programs as needed. Will be required to be trained on all 2nd shift fabrication/press brake equipment.
  • Operate press brake while using the safety features of the machine correctly.
  • Validate first and last pieces through blueprints, completing all quality documentation required (SPC, 1st article, etc.).
  • Identify and record parts produced.
  • Basic maintenance of machine and tooling, including following all preventative maintenance.
  • Assist in maintaining Kanban bin system to weld, PEM, and assembly and produce the proper number of parts as set forth by Kanban.
  • Material handling as required.
  • Comply with PPE and 5S and all safety rules.
  • Comply with standard work guidelines, process instructions and print specifications.
  • Capable of measuring and hold parts in spec of tolerances given based on SPC criteria. 

Requirements:

  • Requires HS graduate or equivalent.
  • Solid work history with related fabrication or press brake experience desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to exhibit good judgment related to safety, quality, cost and delivery of parts, processes and product.
  • Must possess fork truck operation experience and/or certification or have a willingness to learn and be trained on this equipment.
  • Ability to read/use or be trained on the use of blueprints, gauges, basic hand tools, calculators, standard work instructions, process instructions, material safety data sheets, production schedules, preventative maintenance documents, equipment control panels, etc., as required by job or supervisor.
