Maintenance Mechanic

PMX Industries is the leading supplier of high-quality copper and copper alloys in North America. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa plant. 

As an INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE MECHANIC your responsibilities include:

• A wide variety of mechanical maintenance inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems in the facility. 
• Requires a range of experience or specific experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, assembly and disassembly
• Hydraulic systems; welding and metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of rigging and material handling equipment. 
• This is a twelve-hour position.  Starting wage $28.10 per hour with a $.70 shift differential for those that work the night shift.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; plus 1 to 3 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Industrial maintenance experience required
• Additional trade school, military, machine shop, and certified welder experience a plus. 

Work Schedule:

• This is a 12 hour, rotating shift working 36 hours one week, and then 48 hours the next.
• Current openings are on nights from 7 P.M. - 7 A.M. and 7 A.M. - 7 P.M.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
