The Maintenance E & I Tech Team Member in Optimization will support the manufacturing teams by providing quality maintenance duties to maximize paper machine availability and minimize off-quality product. These duties include but are not restricted to, electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair, ladder logic troubleshooting with an Allen Bradley PLC, ABB and Allen Bradley drive troubleshooting and repair, Rosemount instrumentation and Fisher control valve calibration, troubleshooting and repair. Starting rate of pay is $32.39 with increases based on skills acquired.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to wear all required personal safety equipment
- Noise levels in excess of 90 dB
- Heat in excess of 100°F occasionally
- Working environment is 24/7 – ability to be on-call as needed and/or required.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of shift time.
- Walking: Within immediate area and up and down several floors.
- Lifting: Up to 50 pounds; i.e., propane tank and contents = 50 pounds, or working shutdowns.
- Carrying: Periodically tools, repair materials and equipment to multiple levels.
- Push/Pull: Assist in pushing 7,000 pound rolls; assist in pulling 6,000-7,000 pound machine clothing, maintenance tool boxes and tools as needed for tasks.
- Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders and into and onto tanks and other vessels.
- Upper body mobility in order to drive roll grab/bale grab, skid loader.
- Some assignments require kneeling, crouching, bending, and twisting while installing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to function in a team environment.
- Proven record of safe work practices.
- Auditory perception to respond to safety and operational sounds.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be part of a multi-functional/multi-skill maintenance organization with a willingness to flow to work as required by changing mill conditions and priorities.
- Minimum of three years industrial maintenance experience in any one of the following maintenance skill areas: Instrumental or Electrical.
Or
- One (1) year vocational / technical education in the Instrumentation Electrical Disciplines: Instrumentation or Electrical.
Preferred
- Associate degree in Instrumentation or Electrician.
- Strong math/physics understanding.
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
- Instrumentation background on the Instrumentation Electrical side.
- Experience working in High Performance Work Systems.
- Experience working in a team-based, customer and quality-focused environment.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP.
