ACP, Inc. has an excellent opportunity available for a hands-on leader to manage overall quality assurance for the ACP, Inc. business, a division of the ALI Group and a leader in providing high-speed cooking solutions to the foodservice industry.

The Director of Quality Assurance is a member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for establishing and maintaining a quality assurance system and team that promotes customer satisfaction and positively impacts the financial performance of ACP, Inc. Will champion and lead continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective Quality Management System (QMS) by performing the following essential functions:

  • Support efforts in improving customer experiences by leading the implementation and monitoring of QA & QC best practices, related metrics and processes, and promptly following up on QA/QC quality concerns.

  • Develop quality planning methods for all product lines and implement quality improvement activities to raise the performance of the company’s product lines to insure continuous improvement in products as reflected by reduced warranty costs.

  • Partner with design and manufacturing on DFMEAs and PFMEAs on new and existing products to ensure best practices are utilized to improve product performance and manufacturability.

  • Manage the quality team, ensuring strong performance management, SMART goals aligned with business goals and plans and development of employees in line with current and future needs.

  • Point of contact for QA-QC issues, leading and facilitating QA-QC problem-solving activities within and across department functions through root cause analysis and proper documentation. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.

  • Review and correlate quality data across all phases of product lifecycle (design, supplier, manufacturing, customer, field, etc.).

  • Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects and works closely with marketing, design engineering and manufacturing teams in all phases of QA-QC activities.

  • Lead ISO 9001-2015 certification activities.


  • Requires BS degree, preferably in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 6 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing/quality engineering leadership function supporting day-to-day manufacturing quality activities.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification with a proven track-record of business performance improvement. ASQ CQE/CQM preferred.

  • Demonstrated competency in risk identification, control, and mitigation.

Previous ISO 9001-2015 experience required. Strong computer skills with proficiency utilizing MS Office (including Access, Excel and PowerPoint). Thorough knowledge of design techniques for product/process development, cost management and project management.
