The Residential General Manager – Cedar Rapids Market provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to establish the Cedar Rapids Residential Market as a thriving ImOn Communications Market. As Market Development Manager, you will play a lead role in growing the business through supporting and advising your local team and working with corporate and other market resources. You will work with the CEO in developing and driving the strategy to acquire, retain, and grow residential customers in the Cedar Rapids market. You are the market champion. You will work with a matrix of teams in and out of market to support local outreach to city and state government, utilities, and organizations.
The Market Development Manager has P/L responsibility for the Residential Cedar Rapids market and provides general oversight of our residential revenue development, sales pipeline, product management, customer installation and service and marketing and brand awareness activities. This position establishes and ensures that the company has the operational controls, administrative, reporting procedures, and the people systems in place to effectively grow the division and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives and culture of ImOn.

•MBA, JD or equivalent qualification with emphasis on business development strategy.
•Experience working with or leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders in developing and executing strategies to deliver business results.
•Strong in-market local relationships with city and community leaders.

•Experience managing P/L and developing budgets.
•Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills; strong public speaking capabilities.

•Operational experience in telecommunications or related industry
•Strong understanding of telecommunications products including Internet, cable, and phone, previous experience is desirable.
•Must have employee management experience with knowledge of applicable state and federal employee laws.
•Valid Iowa Drivers’ License
