Job Summary:
Kent Technical Application Administrators are involved with various aspects of application administration including the installation, design and support of new and existing systems across multiple environments (Dev, Test, QA, and Production).  The responsibilities include but are not limited to administering Kent’s implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX and extend to any subsystem(s) that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics AX.  The Application Administrator ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners. Application Administrators receive general instruction; work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy.  Work includes problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of a variety of factors, where the Application Administrator generally exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.  Close collaboration with IT department teams required depending upon the situation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Administers and maintains Kent’s ERP, Microsoft Dynamics AX, across multiple environments (Development, Test, QC, Pre-Prod, and Production)
  •  Installation and setup of new environments
  •  Database restores
  •  Configuration changes includes base Dynamics AX as well as any ISV solutions that exist within the Dynamics AX environment.
  •  Model store promotion and imports
  •  New user setup
  •  Security Administration
  •  Participates in the creation of Technical specifications
2) Creates and/or assist in the creation and maintaining of support documentation for supported applications
3) Participates within team on-call rotation
4) Participates in project related activities which include:
  •  Incident management; troubleshooting and resolving user requests and problems for Dynamics AX as well as initial triage
  •  Facilitates and smooths the transition of projects from development to production by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle.
5) General SQL server administration
6) Provide Tier 2 & 3 support of production Systems
7) 3rd party application/admin support in accordance to IT application support matrix

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a computer related discipline, or Associate’s degree with 3 years’ of experience in IT, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or the combined equivalent
Technical Knowledge:
• Ability to analyst and troubleshoot a variety of problems both client and server related
• Knowledge of computer hardware and networking concepts
• Working knowledge of: MS Windows Server (2012), Active Directory, and Window 2012 remote desktop services
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2014) general administration and SQL queries
• Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (2012 R3) is a benefit
• Knowledge of IIS administration
• Analyze and translate business requirements in functional and system requirements
• Basic skills in evaluating technical documentation for accuracy and completeness

Working Conditions:
Office environment. Able and willing to work extended hours as may be required to support existing application and to meet delivery dates for new or revised applications.
Travel Requirements:
• 5-10%
