Technical Services Technician

Job Information:

This position will be interacting directly with customers providing urgent response in support of Crystal Group’s entire product line.  Support efforts include product diagnosis and repair, phone/email interaction, root cause analysis, and travel to customers’ locations.  The successful candidate may also perform departmental and companywide projects.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide phone and email support in a single tier support environment.
  • Perform root cause analysis in support of customers’ mission.
  • Documentation of support activities.
  • Ability to read print drawings and apply instructions.
  • Vendor interaction to resolve issues.
  • Travel on short notice.
  • Product upgrades.
  • Diagnosis, repair, and testing of computer hardware.
  • The Tech Service Representative must work well independently and in a team environment.
Requires: Associates degree in related field.  In depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and advanced troubleshooting skills are required and need to be demonstrable.  This position requires the ability to perform research and gain background knowledge as necessary.

Minimum two years of experience in similar field is desired.  The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is needed.

Travel is required as is a valid passport.  Citizen of the USA is required.
