Application Developer – Epic Physician Billing (Resolute) Module

Job Information:

UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join a project team implementing and supporting Epic Physician Billing (Resolute) application software. One position is available to be filled as an Application Developer (PIA2) based on candidate qualifications. Core job duties include:

  • Collaborate with vendor staff and subject matter experts to analyze system and interface requirements.
  • Create functional/technical specifications for system build,
  • Configure and customize application and integrated system build
  • Validate interfaces, system, and report build
  • Resolve complex system problems
  • Perform unit and integrated testing.
  • Troubleshoot/debug and identify system errors. Implement fixes.
  • Develop and maintain testing scripts for execution during system upgrade cycles
  • Obtain and maintain Epic certification(s)

Education Required:

Bachelor’s in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes
    • typically 3-5 years for Application Developer

Other Requirements:

  • Experience working with end-users to define system requirements and understand business needs;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff; and
  • Ability to wear a pager and provide some 24x7 on-call support
  • Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Epic Resolute PB or HB certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or health related industry
  • Experience working with, supporting or developing applications for an electronic health record
