Senior / IT Support Consultant

Job Information:

UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking an experienced technology support professional to join the Customer Facilitator team to assist in the delivery of high quality technology support to UI Health Care faculty, staff and students. The position will be filled as IT Support Consultant (PIC2) or Senior IT Support Consultant (PIC3) based on candidate qualifications.

Duties include:
•Provides expert-level support and service management for UIHC enterprise-wide services.
•Matches customer needs with UIHC-supported and compliant solutions
•Investigates/resolves complex widespread computer problems affecting users across multiple areas.
•Resolves issues and improves solution processes working across teams.
•Creates, develops, and distributes documentation about solutions to common problems. Creates how-to documentation for common tasks.
•Recommends procedure and workflow modifications in order to use available technology effectively.
•Supports deployment of managed applications on personal and institutional iOS/Android devices in a walk-in service desk environment.
•Provides expert technical assistance to workstation support team members to find solutions to computer-related problems in departments and/or on individual machines.
•Coordinates large scale software/storage upgrades and moves. Coordinate projects as necessary.

Salary and Benefits:
•Salary range is $50,000 to commensurate for Senior IT Support Consultant; $48,500 to commensurate for IT Support Consultant role

Education Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

•Experience supporting workstations running Windows 7 and MS Office 2010
•Typically 1-3 years for IT Support Consultant
•Typically 3-5 years for Senior IT Support Consultant including experience in technology and/or business process analysis and solution design in a Technical Product Support or Customer Service Center
•Excellent organizational skills
•Experience working collaboratively in a team-based environment
•Experience supporting iOS/Android devices
•Experience with technical process documentation
•Professional experience working with desktop hardware and software in a managed workstation environment.
•Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical staff.

Desired Qualifications
•Experience supporting workstations running Windows 10 and MS Office 2016
•Experience utilizing SCCM
•Experience with enterprise mobile device management (MDM) tools for iOS/Android
•Experience in project planning and implementing.
•Experience in a healthcare or health industry environment.
•Strong customer-service experience
