Help Desk Associate Lead

Job Information:

UI Health Care Information Systems is seeking an IT Support Consultant to serve as an associate team lead for the Health Care Information Systems Help Desk, which provides support remotely and over the phone. Duties include providing second-level support for IT Support Analyst staff and customer service support for UI Health Care computer users and machines. The position requires a professional demeanor, close attention to detail, strong team-building skills, the ability to tolerate high-intensity working conditions, and the ability to learn and provide basic clinic application support. The ability to make quick decisions based on professional judgment and written procedures is essential. Work will be performed in a structured Help Desk setting.
Salary and Benefits:
  • $48,500 to commensurate

    Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Required Qualifications 
  • Experience, typically 1-3 years, supporting workstations running Windows 7/10 and MS Office 2010/2016
  • Experience, typically 1-3 years, of customer service in a Customer Service Center or Call Center.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to quickly learn new software, and proven ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Practical experience supporting Macintosh computers.
  • Practical experience supporting a medical records application such as Epic.
    Desired Qualifications
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Experience utilizing ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience working in a Health Care IT environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills
