Business Development Coordinator

Job Information:

TrueNorth, an Insurance and Financial Strategies firm headquartered in downtown Cedar Rapids,is currently seeking a Business Development Coordinator.  The Business Development Coordinator's primary responsibility is to lead diverse administrative functions supporting Business Development initiatives, which will require problem solving and prioritizing of projects and activities at any given time.  This individual will be involved in high level and sensitive information and must display considerable tact, diplomacy, and sound judgement.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Support the Business Development (BD) Director in administrative support related to TrueNorth’s growth initiatives    
•Serve as the liaison with Marketing and Business Development teams to achieve agreed upon goals related to sales tools, practice communication materials and other sales related collateral
•Develop, summarize and distribute data analytics reporting tools, including CRM data, rounding out opportunities, etc.  
•Work with BD Director to develop success factors and dashboards for all sales team members
•Work collaboratively with TrueNorth’s Marketing and Technology teams to drive scalable and repeatable solutions for our sales teams
•Provide administrative support in meetings with BD Director and sales team leaders to ensure projects continue to move forward
•Work with the BD Director to support the implementation and evaluation of the agency’s sales campaign activities, touch programs and monitor results
•Work with the BD Director to properly document business plans for sales team members
•Work with BD Director to evaluate cross marketing prospects of the organization and provide needed assistance with all cross marketing initiatives of the organization
•Act as a liaison and provide updates to operational leadership on possible goals and strategies to support corporate growth
•Assist in the coordination of training to ensure sales teams are introduced to sales techniques and product training, as appropriate
•Work with marketing to coordinate client events and internal sales events as necessary  
•Assist BD Director in preparing for corporate sales meetings and coordinating with EVP’s in planning and preparation of divisional sales events
•Stay current on evolving industry changes and communicate to sales team as appropriate
•Coordinate participation in appropriate trade associations and other professional organizations that will assist in driving new opportunities or business to TrueNorth  
•Develop a thorough knowledge of business development and how it interacts with divisions and other departments, to align colleagues to other appropriate parties
•Utilize the Project Management Center of Excellence structure to build and implement new programs within Business Development
•Demonstrate ability to network across the organization to determine proper and efficient contact
•Prepare, communicate, and manage the process of all Business Development presentations and materials

Education & Experience:
•A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, or Marketing is required
•Minimum of 2 years experience in a business development service industry and/or specifice insurance industry experience is required
•Previous experience with Microsoft CRM is ideal
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically intermediate Word and Excel skills, and basic PowerPoint skills
