Supervisory Relationship:
- SPF-PFS Program Director, Superintendent of Mount Vernon Community School District.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Primary person responsible for coordination and implementation of training and program services specifically for the SPF-PFS Grant.
- Coordinator must possess knowledge of community/coalition philosophies, goals, and mission.
Personal Qualities:
- Coordinator must demonstrate organization and professionalism in fulfilling the responsibility of the job.
- Coordinator must cooperate with and work in a courteous manner with co-workers and other personnel, and work in a team-focused environment.
- They must demonstrate a positive attitude toward school, students and job.
- Must accept constructive criticism and suggestions and seek improvements.
Qualifications:
- B.A. degree, or equivalent; experience in human services including: substance use prevention or treatment and health and wellness services; group facilitation and public speaking experience desired; must be IBSAC certified within eighteen (18) months of hire.
Salary range for Project Coordinator $30,000- $45,000; subject to experience and degree.
Project Coordinator must be able to work 40 hours a week; potential for a hybrid work week.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Responsible for assisting the Program Director in managing the SPF Grant
- Facilitate programs and trainings utilizing community-based process and environmental prevention strategies
- Responsible for community mobilization to address underage drinking, marijuana, tobacco, and prescription drug use
- Responsible for coordinating monthly coalition meetings and activities (may be more often than monthly) identified in the SPF-PFS Action Plan
- Coordination of activities of coalition subcommittees
- Provide accurate documentation of SPF-PFS Grant services and programs, in kind match, required CORE outcomes
- Assist coalition with annual grant renewal documents
- Provide weekly communication with all staff working under the project to ensure project wide communication and coordination
- Monitor programs for compliance with school district policies and grant requirements
- Develop and maintain positive work relationships
- Strengthen the role of the school in all districts
- Other duties assigned by the SFP Program Director, including evaluation and assessments
- Communication improvements with Project Director, Coalition, Executive Board and School District Representatives
- Person must be able to travel to conferences out of state
- Must be able to work occasional weekends
