GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: 

 Serve as the liaison between the college and business and industry as an access point for employer related services and programs including, but not limited to, contracted training and services, funding, facility rental, employer services, workforce development and advisory groups.  Responsible for identifying prospective clients, needs assessments, proposals, closing sales and monitoring sales.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Call on business, industry and agencies to promote Kirkwood Corporate Training.
  • Conduct needs analysis, write proposals, and serve as an access point for employer related services and programs.
  • Negotiate pricing with clients to ensure revenue earnings as well as provide service to community.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create customized contracted training programs and services.
  • Utilize LERN tools, formulas, benchmarks to evaluate and meet or exceed division wide goals for the sales of training programs and services.
  • Become familiar with other industry service providers, professional organizations and local development groups.  Create cooperative partnerships.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work.  Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Education or Business Management and 3 years related experience.  
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: 
 
  • Driver’s license required
