Fresh Starts Job Coach

You are supportive, detail oriented, and a great coach. The Fresh Starts Job Coach builds relationships with clients, provides support to increase employee job retention, and assists the janitorial crew in daily operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide vocational direction and support for the Fresh Starts janitorial crew, to assist clients in maintaining employment.
2. Ensure Shelter House fulfills all janitorial service contract obligations.
3. Build rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with clients and contracted partners.
4. Record and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to weekly staff meeting attendance, and providing updates to the staff log.

Position Qualifications:

• Experience working with adults who have a chronic mental illness and/or other significant barriers preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under company insurance along with ability to drive a 12-passenger van.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 2:30p.m.-10:30p.m.
• Ability to relate well to clients, staff, customers, and people in the community.
• High level of independence, ability to set priorities, problem solve, and follow through on own initiative.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and common sense in a variety of settings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to lift 25lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time.
