(Part time and Full time) Service Coordinators

Shelter House

You are the first person guests, clients, and tenants see when they enter one of Shelter House’s buildings. Coordinators connect people to the help they need and trouble-shoot when folks need assistance with appointments, donation requests, and anything else that might come up. 

Key responsibilities:

  1. Provide direct support services that are high quality, consistent and in accordance with the Shelter House mission, vision, and values to the people we serve.
  2. Intervene and appropriately de-escalate crisis situations while providing oversight and supervision so that a safe and healthy environment is maintained at all times.
  3. Work within a team of coordinators and case managers to ensure continuity of care, this includes attending team and agency-wide meetings and trainings.
  4. Record and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner.
  5. Ensure that individual rights are protected, all services are confidential, and no information is shared without consent.


  1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  2. 1 year of experience working with persons in poverty or with disabilities preferred.
  3.  Commitment to operating within a trauma-informed workplace that demonstrates a balance of kindness, competence, and care towards self, colleagues, and populations served.
  4. Ability to assess and respond responsibly in a wide variety of situations and crises.
  5. Proficiency in Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and be flexible in job duties and schedules.

Reports to: Permanent Supportive Housing Program manager or Emergency Service manager

Full time positions are benefits eligible, we offer competitive Health, Vision and Dental insurance, as well as Term-life insurance and Flex Spending and Dependent Care accounts. This role eligible for a shift differential rate of $1.50/hr over the base rate for Overnight shifts. The expected payrate for this position is $15/hr.
