Planner / Housing Specialist

The East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG) is seeking a Planner - Housing Specialist to join our team. This position will work on housing studies and assessments, write and administer federal and state grants, and support Housing Trust Fund initiatives.

 

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • A master’s degree in planning, public administration or related field,
  • At least two years of related experience
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Strong attention to detail,
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, and
  • Overt passion for improving housing conditions and availability

Hiring range is 40-60k per year (depending on experience) with excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, IPERS and a generous PTO program. ECICOG employees have the option to work from home two days a week.
