Youth Advocate

United Action For Youth

Under the supervision of the Youth Center Coordinator, provide pro-social activities for youth related to the arts, volunteerism, employment, healthy living, and support groups.

Characteristic Duties:

1. Collect data from program activities through daily contact sheets, success stories, and photos.

2. Support UAY volunteers in Youth Development and Arts programs.

3. Promote Youth Development and Youth Center activities through social media and print.

4. Plan and facilitate pro-social youth activities including youth volunteer activities and art workshops.

5. Provide one-on-one support for youth in crisis and need. Including making referrals and case processing with UAY therapy staff and Youth and Family Advocacy.

7. Practice “UPR” Unconditional Positive Regard, respect for all. Build positive and nurturing relationships with program participants.

Related Duties:

1. Attend one Youth Service Team meeting a month.

2. Attend monthly one-on-one supervision meetings with Youth Center Coordinator.

3. Participate in Youth Development trainings.


  • Previous experience working with youth preferred, but not required


  • This is a part-time position, approximately 10 hours per week at $13 - $15 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
