Balance Autism is a leading provider of ABA therapy for children in Iowa, and we are in search of Behavior Technicians to join our family!

We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and energetic Behavior Technicians to provide intensive 1:1 therapy to children diagnosed autism as they gain higher levels of independence.


  • Ensure that the health and safety needs of the person(s) served are met.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with individual(s) served and co-workers to promote and deliver successful outcomes for children with Autism.
  • Assist with monitoring and executing all personalized programs, autism specific strategies and innovative solutions in order to generate successful outcomes.
  • Focus every day on supporting people with autism as they gain higher levels of independence, including skills related to hygiene, personal care, building social relationships and networks, communication and community involvement as needed.
  • Creates positive learning environment for each child by using appropriate reinforcement schedules, behavior momentum, adequate pace of instruction and an appropriate ratio of mastered targets to new targets both indiscrete trial and natural learning environment training


  • This position will require extensive hands-on time in the center setting, assist in developing treatment plans, monitoring personalized programs and the collection and tracking of documentation.
  • A Bachelor degree; 6 months of prior experience in ABA/Autism or ability to attain 40 hours of training in ABA programming or Autism experience upon hire; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Behavior Technicians must possess a Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance. 
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred, but more than that, we are looking for someone that shares our Core Values: Being passionate for people and autism, a curious learner, engaged, data driven, and optimistic.
