PSYCHIATRIC INPATIENT PROGRAMS
Structured to meet each child’s individual needs, this highly respected, child-centered program serves an average of 150 children each year. Our multidisciplinary team delivers psychiatric treatment, as well as group, individual and family therapy, and expressive arts therapy. The collaborative effort helps children and families regain their health.
Treatment components may include:
  • Psychiatric evaluations and services
  • Psychological assessments
  • Individual child therapy

  • Group therapy
  • Educational services
  • Tutoring and mentoring
  • Recreational therapy
  • Dietary consultation
  • On-call nursing staff

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an ICF/ID Youth Service Worker at Tanager Place, you will:
  • Work with consumers in an Intermediate Care Facility for Intellectually Disability setting who have cognitive, developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Actively participate in activities and routines with clients.
  • Assist in developing age appropriate life skills and implementing therapeutic programming.
  • Provide situational and crisis intervention to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Ensure cottage cleanliness and participate in various housekeeping functions; requiring lifting, climbing stairs, etc.
  • Effectively communicate in both verbal and written communications.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide direct care and supervision of clients.

AVAILABLE WORK SCHEDULES:
  • Second shift (generally 2:30pm – 10:30pm) including some weekends and holidays.
  • Shift differential pay for weekends and third-shift hours.
  • Includes some weekends and holiday shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have three years’ work experience post high school diploma or equivalent; or and AA degree or two years or more of undergraduate work; or a combination of consecutive work experience and/or undergraduate education. Related work experience or education preferred. All candidates are required to pass a background check and possess a current and valid driver’s license.

A sign-on bonus will be offered along with a retention bonus following 18 months of employment. An additional sign on bonus will be offered if applicant possesses a current certification for Certified Medication Aide (CMA).
