Summary
Assists HR staff with new product development, process improvement and various other LC3 project work. Helps to coordinate various HR programs, events and trainings.Enters data into various software program. Performs scanning, filing and other miscellaneous clerical/administrative tasks.Work is performed under general supervision. Knows the County’s Customer-Centered Culture principles, the County’s Mission, Strategic Plan and Core Values and demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction for all customers on a regular basis.

Essential Functions

  • Assists HR staff with new product development and process improvement related to employee life cycle (i.e., onboarding, orientation, resource allocation, position and compensation changes, etc.).   
  • Collects Voice of the Customer feedback from orientation sessions, trainings and various other surveys and helps HR staff track performance measures for recruitment and training.
  • Creates job advertisements and videos for social media including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok.
  • Helps coordinate HR activities and events including employee orientation, training, development and recognition activities.  
  • Assists with various employee committee activities such as the LC3 Committee, Health Awareness Team, Diversity Committee and the Employee Development Committee.
  • Assists with digital scanning of HR files into electronic filing system; maintains designated paper files.
  • Utilizes specialized software programs to maintain digital personnel files, HRIS database, online policies and performance evaluations. 
  • Inputs job descriptions and other HR data into online application software system.
  • Checks to make sure that all online job descriptions are current and makes updates as needed.
  • Answers telephone, provides information, and assists HR staff members with various duties and assignments.
  • May help conduct applicant testing for job openings requiring typing, Word or Excel tests.
  • Knows the products they personally produce and the customers of each product.  
  • Listens to the “Voice of the Customer “and closes gaps between customer expectations and experience whenever possible.

Qualifications:    

  • Enrollment in an educational program of study related to Human Resources (employment law, training, benefits, recruitment, etc.) preferred.  Interest in gaining practical knowledge and experience in an HR environment required.  Prior office experience helpful, but not required.  Experience with social media platforms helpful, but not required. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.  Must enjoy working with people and have the ability to do so without bias or prejudice.  Must be courteous, respectful, trustworthy, and exhibit a professional demeanor in appearance and attitude.  Must have the ability to take direction, follow instructions and complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to type and input data using a keyboard at a reasonable rate of speed to perform the required job duties.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel a plus.  Ability to use copier, scanner, and other office equipment.  


Shift:    9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.      Monday – Friday
Shift is flexible
Hourly Wage: $15.00
