Human Resources Generalist

Legacy Manufacturing

Responsible for human resources and payroll functions. Plan and administer tasks as a part of the events and wellness committees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Human Resources
    • Conduct recruiting with Temp Agencies to fill vacant positions in a timely manner.
    • Assist HR Supervisor with terminations, status changes, benefit changes, complaints, etc.
    • Act as a liaison between employees and/or vendors to answer questions about benefits, company policy, payroll etc.
    • File and maintain confidential personnel and other HR records
    • Assist with OSHA trainings
    • Assume other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor or Controller
  • Secondary Payroll Processor
    • Prepare and process payroll in absence of HR Supervisor or unless directed otherwise
    • Accurately prepare, update changes, and submit bi-weekly payroll for outsourced processing in a timely manner
    • Review preprocess for correctness
    • After processing, run the 401(k) report to submit and update benefit information to send to providers.
  • Assume supervisory duties in absence of HR Supervisor


  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, etc.
  • 0-1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • Working knowledge of internal control procedures, payroll and human resources.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with various levels of staff.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
