IGD Industries has a long history of supporting diverse affiliated companies, and now is an exciting time of change for the IGD Industries Human Resources team.  With plans getting underway for a new, integrated Human Capital Management system and a fresh look at HR services provided, we are seeking a HR & Talent Acquisition Representative in Cedar Rapids, IA.  In this newly created position, the HR & Talent Acquisition professional will support business units and administration through successful recruiting; selecting and hiring; onboarding; maintaining HR systems and records; administering various HR programs; and reporting and analyzing.

  • Collaborating with HR and business unit leaders to develop or advance recruitment strategies and programs 
  • Configuring and maintaining a recruitment management system for improved hiring manager satisfaction, candidate experience, intracompany consistency, and key staffing metrics
  • Partnering with hiring managers to complete selection and hiring steps  

In addition to full cycle recruitment, other main responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with job description preparation
  • Developing culture-focused employer brand tools and approaches 
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with identified high schools and college/ university career offices and managing internship programs 
  • Assisting with onboarding and ensuring completion of new hire forms
  • Developing and conducting training programs for hiring managers for improved recruiting, hiring efficiencies, and quality of hires 
  • Teaching staff to fully utilize the HCM system
  • Updating HRIS records for new hires and changes and maintaining employee files
  • Assisting with fulfillment of annual affirmative action plan requirements
  • Generating various reports and filing training fund contract and compliance reports
  • Analyzing data and making recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administrative Management, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to gain and apply proficient knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience with social media recruiting and recruitment management systems is strongly preferred.
