Job Summary:
The Driver Recruiter will establish, execute, and manage a Driver Recruitment Strategy to fulfill the hiring needs of JRRW Transport, Inc. JM Swank, LLC, headquartered in North Liberty, Iowa, is a leading food ingredients distributor serving a nationwide base of food and beverage marketers and manufacturers.  Our Drivers are an extension of our Sales team and serve as a direct point of contact with our customers on an on-going basis.  We pride ourselves in the fact that our fleet has an exceptional safety record, long tenure and positive rapport with our Transportation / Dispatch team.

The Driver Recruiter will report to the Director, Human Resources.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct recruitment support to Transportation Department
  • Develop, deliver and monitor a Driver Recruitment Strategy to meet business needs
  • Source passive candidates using proven channels and techniques specific to the transportation industry
  • Proactively identify and share best practices in driver recruitment as well as competitor data
  • Maintain constant pipeline for critical roles on a local, regional and national level
  • Maintain applicant-tracking system and ensure compliance for all applicants and new hires, with the assistance of HR Specialist
  • Provide timely metrics and data, as needed, to support decision making
  • Maintain accuracy of all Transportation related job descriptions and postings
  • Maximize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and digital reach
  • Attend public events to increase employer brand recognition within the Transportation industry
  • Perform other Human Resources responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years direct experience as a Driver Recruiter required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in sourcing both active and passive drivers nationwide
  • Proven ability to utilize modern recruitment technology; experience with tenstreet platform highly preferred
  • Proven track record of sourcing and building rapport with qualified Driver candidates resulting in hires
  • Strong understanding of industry challenges and regulations pertaining to driver recruitment
  • Bias towards continuous improvement and utilization of problem-solving tools and techniques
  • Driven self-starter with a strong desire to exceed expectations through difficult challenges
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of flexibility, initiative, attention to detail, and follow thorough
  • Ability to communicate effectively; excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of analyzing and utilizing data quickly for decision making purposes
  • Ability to stay organized, multi-task and prioritize work whilst handling rapidly changing priorities
  • Demonstrated use of social media and digital recruitment tools to increase visibility, enhance employment brand, and attract highly qualified candidates
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner using sound judgment, critical thinking, decision-making, and influencing skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners, including senior leadership and vendors
  • Ability to proactively manage indirect reporting relationships in a cross-functional environment
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy of work
