HR Shared Services Supervisor

Reporting to the Manager, Compensation and Benefits, the HR Shared Services Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of IES’ HR Shared Services team, and will provide administrative and project management support to corporate HR leadership. This position is focused on increasing process efficiency, delivering exceptional HR service, and improving productivity. This position will also be responsible for facilitating, managing and administering special projects for the company.

•Provides leadership for HR Shared Services team.
•Develops strategies to refine, expand and enhance the service delivery provided by the HR Shared Services team. This includes but is not limited to strategies related to resources, technology, structure and operations.
•Proactively engages with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders as needed to develop and support HR wide programs/initiatives.
•Represents HR Shared Services within project teams and work groups as necessary to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and maximum productivity and service of new and existing work.
•Establishes and reinforces performance expectations, service level agreements, metrics and feedback mechanisms; communicates proactively with HR Business Partners to ensure seamless HR delivery.
•Drives optimization of HR systems and processes and ensure that we simplify and create exceptional Customer Experience in all tasks undertaken in HR Shared Services.
•Leads the HR Shared Services team focus on service excellence and creating a positive, efficient customer experience.
•Assists with annual Open Enrollment and administration of employee benefit programs.
•Assists with recruiting activities and ensures that qualified employees are recruited, screened, hired or transferred, all in accordance with the company’s Affirmative Action Program.
•Assists with the coordination and administration of the company’s annual performance management and wage administration programs.
•Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s current Employee Handbook and makes recommendations for updates as needed; assists HR Business Partners, members of leadership and employees and with questions relating to the company’s policies and procedures.
•Maintains a working knowledge of the company’s SarbOx Policies & Procedures as they relate to human resources and payroll.
•Drafts organizational announcements for review by HR management.
•Maintains high visibility with other HR staff members in the organization; promotes company-wide teamwork.
•Leads the preparation and compliance for internal and external audits.
•Performs all other HR Shared Services or project management duties as assigned.

•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist role; experience in a multi-site environment, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
•Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory role; preferably in a shared services model.
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college/university.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a required.
•Requires attention to detail and accuracy; must be a self-starter with ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organization.
•Must be proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
•Previous experience working with ADP Workforce Now, SyteLine (ShopTrak) or Jobvite is a plus.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a manufacturing office environment. Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection. Employees must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time. Office lighting will be provided.
The work environment will include their own workstation or cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset and computer.

Travel Requirements
Occasional travel will be required between facilities and may at times, be up to 15%.
