EIHC is seeking a full-time Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

SCHEDULE

8 AM TO 5 PM, Monday through Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides social work assessments of individual(s) to identify emotional, social and environmental strengths and problems  related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment and /or life situation.
• Formulate and implement a cognitive therapy treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions. Interventions may include crisis intervention, brief and long-term individual, marital, and family and/or group therapies.
• Prepares and maintains a patient behavioral health record in EMR for each patient to describe the nature of therapy.
• Provides education to patients and families around issues related to adaptation to the patient’s diagnosis, illness, treatment and/or life situation.
• Maintains working knowledge of and liaison with community agencies and resources.
• Prepares and maintains a patient behavioral health record in EMR for each patient to describe the nature of therapy.

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A LMSW or LISW license to practice Social Work in Iowa is required.
• Knowledge and compliance with mandatory reporting laws.
• Experience as a member of an interdisciplinary team is desirable.
