The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Health Care Information Systems is seeking an IT Support Consultant to assist with the design, implementation and operational support of departmental AV systems that will be implemented at UIHC. Work very closely with U of I D&C/ Capital Management, AV contractors, Construction Trades during project implementation and provide daily support of installed systems. AV systems will include Conference/Meeting rooms, Event Spaces, Interactive Patient Care System, Digital Signage System, Patient Observation System, Cable TV / IPTV delivery, Centralized Clock system and other supported AV systems. ***This is not strictly an IT desktop position.

Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) provides and supports information and communication systems and technology that facilitate quality patient care, progressive medical education, and innovative research.

HCIS services University of Iowa Health Care by providing comprehensive, high level support for patient care delivery, internal and external communication, technology innovation, medical education, and research. Creating and maintaining a positive, productive, and rewarding environment for information technology and communication staff

Pay Grade: hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/professional-and-scientific-pay-structure.
Salary: $48,500 to commensurate – 4A

Position Qualifications:
Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Experience Requirements:
• Professional Support experience (typically 1-3 years) providing technology support in a healthcare or meeting/conference room environment.
• Working knowledge of A/V control programs, touch panels, and digital signal processors. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse population of technical and non-technical staff.
• Working knowledge of audio and video equipment, video conferencing, wireless technology, computers, televisions, LCD projectors, cameras and telephones to include set up and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting computers and software in an Enterprise environment
• Ability to occasionally move and transport equipment up to 50lbs.
• Driver's LIcense and ability to meet University of Iowa Fleet Services program rules and regulations , due to the ability to drive University vehicles.

Highly Desired Qualification:
• Experience with technical process documentation.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Windows 10 and Office Suite
• Familiarity with Enterprise level A/V management software application in order to actively monitor all A/V components
• Experience with wireless networking, wireless security, peripheral hardware (USB & serial), and/or computer networking. 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong customer service focus.
• Working knowledge of CATV RF distribution and IPTV delivery
• Experience supporting videoconferencing technology
• Familiarity with Blue Beam, AutoCAD and Vi sio 
• Experience using an incident management or ticketing system
