University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics department of Health Care Information Systems is seeking a Senior EHR Education/Implementation Specialist to serve as a training liaison for Community Connect sites by working closely with functional and technical teams to provide guidance in the development of curriculum; research training customization requests; and coordinate training components of new site implementations. Understanding of clinical workflow and processes to support patient care in a healthcare environment is required. Intermittent travel will be required between Community Connect site locations.

Key areas of responsibility include:
•    Coordinating new site implementation curriculum / resource development for all levels of providers, clinical and non-clinical support staff. 
•    Overseeing new site implementation training logistics.
•    Supporting transition of consultant-led training to super user-led training.
•    Standardizing and managing new hire onboarding Epic prerequisite training requirements. 
•    Managing training patient build and ongoing maintenance for end user training.
•    Maintaining the appropriate Epic Learning Home Dashboard.

Health Care Information Systems (HCIS) provides and supports information and communication systems and technology that facilitate quality patient care, progressive medical education, and innovative research.

HCIS services University of Iowa Health Care by providing comprehensive, high level support for patient care delivery, internal and external communication, technology innovation, medical education, and research. Creating and maintaining a positive, productive, and rewarding environment for information technology and communication staff.

Pay Grade: 
Salary: $60,000 to commensurate – 5A

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Education, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements
•    Experience (typically 3-5 years) in application and/or technology support.
•    Experience developing curriculum and educational resources.
•    Experience providing focused training in large and small group settings.
•    Experience communicating technical information to non-technical customers.
•    Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
•    Experience working independently with a strong focus on customer service.
•    Must meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services program rules and regulations, due to the required ability to drive University vehicles.
•    Understanding of clinical, patient access or revenue workflows and processes to support patient care in a healthcare environment.

Highly Desired Qualifications
•    Experience with Audio/Visual editing software (ex: Captivate).
•    Education credentials and adult classroom teaching
•    Working knowledge of Windows XP/7, MS Office 2010 or greater.

Desired Qualifications
•    Epic clinical, patient access or revenue experience or previous experience in a healthcare setting.
