The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Radiology is seeking Imaging Technologists – MRI to perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam.

 

Duties Include:

·        Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.

·        Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.

·        Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment.

·        Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.

·        Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.

·        Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, includes rotating holidays, weekends, and on call responsibilities.
