The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Department of Radiology is looking for a temporary Research Assistant.

We are seeking a part-time research assistant with a radiation technologist degree and a certification in Computed Tomography (CT). Person would be responsible for completing Research CT scans per protocol, accurate data entry, daily QC procedures for multi-center studies, and data analysis of lung CTs.

Anticipated working hours are:4 days a week 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM. This schedule is subject to change as business needs dictate.


Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required


Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.

Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment is required.


Experience/Certification in, Computed Tomography (CT) medical imaging

Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Demonstrated strong analytical and data analysis skills

Knowledge of IRB regulations

Experience with human research projects is desired

Understanding of database, word processing, and presentation software
