Position Summary:
The research support specialist will coordinate and perform research support activities for the Advanced Pulmonary Physiomic Imaging Laboratory (APPIL) with emphasis on assisting in grant proposal preparation, submission, post-award administration, and administrative and operational support for the director and APPIL lab.

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Respond to faculty inquiries regarding specific grant opportunities. 
  • Coordinate grant submissions for APPIL faculty.
  • Participate in development and preparation of grant proposals including budget preparation.
  • Establish timelines to assure project deadline dates are met.
  • Develop budgets; comply with internal and sponsor deadlines. 
  • Monitor progress of proposal development and institutional approvals; route proposals in UIRIS.
  • Authorize and train users on electronic submissions systems.
