Position Summary:
A 100% Imaging Technologist position with primary duties in MRI. Perform and teach specialized MRI and research procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. Work will be Monday - Friday, 3pm – 11:30pm. Schedule may include rotating shifts during the week including night; weekend and holiday on call responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities: 
  • Perform and teach specialized imaging procedures utilizing MRI imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision.
  • Perform MRI procedures using a variety of complex imaging and patient monitoring equipment.
  • Has knowledge of and applies MRI safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment.
  • Has knowledge and understanding of key Service Excellence principles for interaction with patients and staff.
  • Establish rapport with patient and provide information about how the exam is performed and what is required of the patient.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required
  • Successful completion of two-year or other approved program by Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology Education is required.
Experience Requirements
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Recent work or clinical education experience in MRI.
  • MRI modality training.
  • MRI certification or eligible.
  • Work or clinical education experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
