Business Analyst
Employment Status: Exempt

Purpose statement:
The Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working within IT or other technology-centric project teams. The Business Analyst collects, clarifies, and translates business requirements into documentation, user stories, and conceptual designs from which applications and solutions are developed.
Essential Functions:
Works with departments to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs related to projects
Articulates and documents the business requirements clearly
Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands
Fills the role as Product Owner in Scrum teams
Manages ongoing relationship with partners across IDT to drive satisfaction
Coordinates project delivery by participating in design/sprint reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions
Engages with end-users to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems
Resolves customer satisfaction issues proactively
Coordinates the training of functional departments regarding new software and processes, prior to implementation
Documents software output and process changes related to development efforts
Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Integrated DNA Technologies Core Values
Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a science, engineering or IT related field
Professional Experience:
Minimum of three years of work experience required
Minimum of three years of work experience with oligonucleotide manufacturing processes, other operations or related field preferred
General understanding of software, product or process development preferred
Experience with Scrum/Agile and other development methodologies preferred

Physical Requirements:
Exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
