We are currently searching for a Demand Planning Analyst to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA (1000). A comprehensive relocation package is available for qualified candidates. 

Job Summary

CS Sales Operations Sales and Demand Planning is seeking a self-motivated, innovative leader who embraces change and can adapt quickly in a rapidly-changing business environment. As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to influence key business objectives such as Sales, inventory/cash flow, and cost. You will gain exposure to many aspects of the Enterprise; including Sales, Marketing, LCVSM, Master Scheduling, Manufacturing, Material & Supply, Logistics, and Finance. You will also have the opportunity to build a strong network in an extremely collaborative environment with an outstanding team.

This position is responsible for execution related activities that support business financial objective associated with assigned products.  This includes finished goods allocation, order alignment, supporting customer OTD initiatives, and lead time quoting activities. In addition, the position involves the preparation of management reports as well as performing special projects for the department. The decisions and recommendations of this position directly affect the Collins Aerospace sales goals and cash flow results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform complex planning tasks to execute and maintain an 18 month product demand forecast for assigned product lines on a monthly basis.

  • Provide detailed analysis and high level reporting to support executive level presentations.

  • Coordinate with customer account administration, marketing, sales operations and master product scheduling at multiple manufacturing sites for the purpose of compiling data to facilitate the quoting and scheduling of customer requirements.

  • Advise and assist LCVS management and production operations with the introduction of new products.

  • Provide timely feedback to improve the overall effectiveness of the planning effort.

  • Develops allocation scheme to prioritize customer backorders.

  • Networks with personnel across the business on significant matters often requiring coordination between the organizations.

Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required
  • Working knowledge of SAP

  • Microsoft Excel/Microsoft Office skills

  • Working with cross functional teams

  • Analyzing and/or manipulation of databases

  • Working with large databases and/or SAP Business Intelligence, preferred

  • Sales & Operations Planning experience, preferred
