Results to Achieve and Value to Create: The Manager of Continuous Process Improvement will work across the Operating Companies to build the processes and organizational capability to collect and analyze financial and operating data to systemically identify causes of waste and inefficiency. Success will be achieved by developing and executing innovative and effective process improvements to eliminate the root cause and symptoms of the problem. Success will be demonstrated by continuous improvement of Key Performance Indicators and by creating demand within the Operating Companies to regularly involve the Manager of Continuous Process Improvement in performance improvement opportunities.
Who You’ll Be Working With:  The Manager of Continuous Process Improvement works with senior leaders and operating teams across the company to improve performance and build organizational capability. Individual will identify, create and implement processes and on-the-job experiences and education that will weave Continuous Process Improvement tools, knowledge and capability into the fabric of the CRST organization. This position will require travel to various US locations on a frequent basis.There will be two (2) positions, one (1) will report to the VP-GM of Lincoln Sales, the equipment maintenance and service organization, and one (1) will report to the Director of IT and PMO. These two organizations work with and across all operating companies with a focus on improving operating performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Process and Performance Improvement: 
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and establish constant, disciplined focus on seeking the problems that inhibit achieving better performance. “Perfect Performance” will be defined with the knowledge it will not be achieved, but the objective everyday will be to eliminate an obstacle to elevate performance closer to perfection.

  • Utilize continuous improvement projects within operating companies to educate the organization on Continuous Improvement tools, processes and knowledge and elevate CRST to a higher performing Continuous Improvement culture
  • Lead the company’s efforts to measure and act on financial, operations and customer service statistics and metrics:  
    • Identify and eliminate waste and inefficiency to reduce costs and increase profitability
    • Clearly understand customer value expectations and requirements to identify and eliminate problems and deliver higher customer satisfaction and profitable growth
    • Understand and analyze the Professional Driver process and experience and implement improvements to increase Professional Driver success and satisfaction
    • Understand and analyze the Operations Team process and experience and implement improvements to increase success and satisfaction for Operations Team members
The Experience You Need: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with Engineering, Math or Science preferred
  • Formal training and/or experience in Continuous Improvement and Lean methods
  • Demonstrated results and career advancement in operations or production. 
  • Training, experience and career advancement in a manufacturing environment preferred
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
  • Exceptional, demonstrated leadership and project management skills; serving as a role model for others
  • Skilled professional with demonstrated ability to create process road maps, identifying waste and inefficiencies, with a mind for continuous improvement in all business processes that contribute to improved operating performance
  • Great communicator who works best in a collaborative environment and builds mutual trust and credibility at all levels of an organization
  • Proven program/project management skills with high tolerance for working in changing and ambiguous situations
  • Excellent organization, time management and resiliency skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct effective meetings, and seek clarity of critical information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Working knowledge of computer data bases, MS office applications
