Care Initiatives is now hiring an Accounts Receivable Manager to lead our accounts receivables collections team!
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AR collections team. Lead the AR collections team, providing strategic oversight and direction with managing progress of receivables to ensure efforts are resolution-driven.
Responsibilities:
- Controls all activities and operations for private pay accounts receivable functions for the organization, while adhering to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Oversees the management of collection activities, send follow-up inquires to facility personnel and regional support, negotiate past due accounts, track cash receipts, and refer accounts on to the legal department for further collection consideration.
- Create, analyze, and deliver financial reports relating to accounts receivable reporting to leadership on monthly basis.
- Works closely with the RFCs, RDOs, and location leadership soliciting feedback and making recommendations for Business office improvement.
- Assist with training Business Office Managers on Private Pay accounts receivables and collaborate with regional and location leadership on any corrective actions.
- Provide Medicaid application assistance to facility personnel and/or the resident representative and consult with facility personnel to have a proactive approach on potential future Medicaid applicants.
- Maintains extensive knowledge on departmental collection related processes, evaluating on continual basis to enhance training techniques.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of healthcare finance, or related work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of management or supervision experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
