District Manager

The District Manager is responsible for managing the day to day delivery of the newspaper to all customers within the Iowa City and Coralville area.

Other responsibilities include:

• planning/directing programs and activities of the circulation operation
• overseeing carrier recruitment
• selection and orientation
• maintain/increase the circulation and market penetration
• reorganize or redesign delivery routes for maximum effectiveness

Position requires an Associate degree and 1-3 years supervisory experience; or in the absence of an Associate's degree, 2-5 years related experience. Previous supervisory experience helpful. Must be agreeable to work flexible hours including: nights, weekends, and holidays with the availability to respond 24/7. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, proper insurance and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary starting at $33,000 commensurate with experience plus bonus plan.
