POSITION OPENING ANNOUNCEMENT

CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank is seeking individuals interested in the position of Executive Director

The Executive Director is the key management leader of CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization.  Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.  The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Desirable skills and experience include:

Board Governance:  Works with board in order to fulfill the mission of the organization.

Financial Performance and Viability:  Develops resources to ensure the financial health of the organization.

Organization Mission and Strategy:  Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.

Organization Operations:  Oversees and implements appropriate resources to ensure the operations of the organization are appropriate.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Senior management experience (a minimum of five years) in a nonprofit organization with a proven record of high-integrity, transparent and collaborative leadership
  • Hands-on experience with budget preparation, analysis and reporting.  Demonstrated ability to make financial decisions to inform strategic priorities and operational effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the operations of a complex organization, requiring effective planning, origination, facilitation, delegation and program development skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey a vision of CommUnity’s strategic future to a diverse set of constituents (staff, board, volunteers and donors) in public and non-public environments
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to nonprofit sector
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
