From concert and festival staging to LED screen rentals, corporate events and video production, companies and organizations across the country have relied on Wired Production Group to meet their unique production needs for 20+ years. We build experiences from start to finish for concerts, festivals, fashion shows, conferences, nonprofit events, corporate meetings and a host of other events.

Due to a relocation, we have an immediate need for the right individual to lead our live event production team. Our Event Production Manager takes care of every detail associated with the execution of events for our clients – from the very beginning to the very end. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing teams of people and a solid background in and understanding of the live event industry. 

In this fast-paced, deadline-oriented role, here’s what our Event Production Manager does every day:

  • Reviews proposals with team members to ensure that clients’ needs can and will be met with appropriate staff and equipment.

  • Ensures that schedules, drawings and technical specifications are created and available in a timely manner to all team members.

  • Serves as a liaison between account managers and technicians to make sure that information is being collected for every single event and communicated appropriately.

  • Schedules staffing and secures additional outside help for every event to ensure that nothing goes overlooked in the way of hands-on help.

  • Oversees the accuracy of equipment, pull sheets for events created by account managers, and communicate with the sales team to ensure inventory is not overbooked or otherwise being used inefficiently.

  • Coordinates the need for additional rental equipment such as generators, lifts, projectors, etc. for project-specific requirements.

  • Manages event details in tandem with budget considerations.

  • Utilizes industry software to ensure that staffing and equipment needs are entered, tracked and recorded.

  • Assigns vehicles and drivers for each job and secures proper lodging arrangements are made when necessary.

  • Coordinates arrival, set, show and tear-down for events.

  • Coaches, counsels and gives feedback to team members on a consistent basis while on site at WPG and at client events.

  • Selects, interviews and hires new team members and provides job orientation.

  • Holds consistent production team meetings to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

  • Attends events to make sure every detail is met to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Act as a technician for events when other staffing resources are allocated elsewhere, which may include setting up and operating audio, lighting or video equipment, depending on specific skill sets.

  • Other duties as assigned in order to facilitate the workings of the business.

The individual who would thrive on this challenge is:

  • Experienced with live event audio, video, and lighting elements.

  • Experienced in live event production management or other management experience in the AV industry or related fields.

  • Experienced with leading teams of hourly hands-on employees.

  • Experienced with overseeing and planning large events or large projects with strict deadlines.

  • Incredibly organized and great with details.

  • Approachable and a good communicator (oral and written skills).

  • Comfortable using MS Office as well as Google Suite. Familiar with timekeeping or project tracking software.

  • Able to remain collected and professional in high pressure situations.

  • Willing to obtain a class B CDL for occasional use of straight trucks, if not already class B CDL licensed. 

  • Willing to work flexible hours, nights and weekends as required.

  • Willing to travel 15-20%.
