Kent Nutrition Group in Muscatine, Iowa has an opening for a Sales Manager-Contract Manufacturing. This position is responsible for developing, executing and maintaining strategic toll manufacturing and private label sales opportunities.

• Actively seek out, secure, and manage toll milling and private label sales opportunities.
• Responsible for developing strategies and tactics to exceed toll milling sales budget.
• Drive business profitably by enhancing total customer value while increasing sales and maximizing manufacturing efficiencies.
• Ability to evaluate and leverage plant capacities and capabilities to increase production and maximize efficiencies.
• Function as part of a team to develop new volume through the coordination of logistics, manufacturing, nutrition, pricing, sales and marketing.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources for toll milling and private label opportunities.
• Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, nutrition, manufacturing and the customer to increase sales, plant efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
• Connect customer strategies with KNG’s capabilities to deliver accelerated sales volume growth.
• Establish and negotiate long term contract manufacturing agreements/contracts.
• Acquire consistent customer input to monitor forecasts and build long-range plans.
• Potential to manage accounts in various channels of distribution.
• Coordinate and execute quality customer relationships including managing customer presentations, communications and feedback.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required.  Master’s degree preferred.

• 3-5 years of outside sales management experience
• Proven selling, prospecting, and territory management experience in an animal science or agri-business related field
• Experience in sales of animal feed products preferred
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present, interact with and negotiate with multiple organizational levels
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills
• The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
• Effective use of computer technology including Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to effectively negotiate and close sales

TRAVEL:  Travel is comprised of 50% of this position.
