This Professional & Scientific position will be filled as either a Project Manager (PAE2- Pay Level 4B) or Senior Project Manager (PAE3- Pay Level 5B) based on candidate qualifications and interview evaluation.  To express interest for consideration at both levels, please apply to both requisitions.  Candidates selected for interview are required to give a 30-minute Project Overview Presentation using MS PowerPoint. Details will be provided at time of the interview scheduling.

Position Responsibilities:
The responsibility for this position will be to ensure that project goals and objectives are met, within the established time frames, budgetary and hospital requirements; preparing project status reports, resource management, conducting/facilitating project meetings, ensuring the project progress on schedule, addressing constraints, mitigating risks and challenges in a timely manner.  This position will work with a range of stakeholders including staff-level employees, department-level leadership, hospital administration, medical & clinical staff, division leadership and technical users to analyze project requirements, develop implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight throughout the program/project management life cycle, serving as change agents for the organization, working effectively in a diverse environment.

Position Qualifications:
Education Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Requirements
Project Management experience implementing and managing multiple small to large-scale programs/projects
            Typically 1-3 years experience for Project Manager position
            Typically 3-5 years experience for Senior Project Manager position
Demonstrated ability to work independently with a strong focus on customer service utilizing established PMO Program/Project Management methodology, processes, procedures, tools and techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of management and project team members.
Demonstrated strong project management, organizational and facilitation skills.
Experience leading teams and people to successfully implement change utilizing a positive, can-do attitude to inspire others.
Proficient in Project Management tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Visio and MS PowerPoint.
Experience with the concept of the PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) and applying project management principles, methodology & processes, tools & techniques to managing projects.
Ability to simultaneously lead multiple small to large-scale projects.
Desirable Qualifications for Project Manager
Preference will be given to candidates with educational and certification credentials combined with Project Management experience in a health industry.
  • PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), AIPM Certified Practicing Project Practitioner (CPPP) or related Project Management entry-level certification,
  • Lean Six Sigma experience. 
  • Project Management experience implementing and managing Health Care IT projects in an Academic Medical Center
    Desirable Qualifications for Senior Project Manager
Preference will be given to candidates with educational and certification credentials combined with Project Management experience in a health industry.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Master Certificate in Project Management, Public Heath Certification or Informatics Certificate, Prince2, AIPM Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM), ITILv3, Lean, Agile and/or Six Sigma certification.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Business or Management, Public Health, Health Administration or a related Health Industry discipline.
