The MEMS Process and Engineering Manager is responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building automation systems to meet the intent of the project requirements.   This position will be required to work as a cross-functional engineer using analytical skills to review performance and sales information to institute changes in design maximizing product market value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create schematics and physical layouts of integrated microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) components or packaged assemblies consistent with process, functional, or package constraints.
  • Designs building automation systems consisting of mechanical system layouts,
    electrical drawings, bill of materials, sequence of operations, valve and damper schedules, and DDC panel layouts to meet the intent of the project plans, specifications and contract documents.
  • Develop complex software programs, tests software programs and troubleshoots to ensure proper operations of the building control systems.
  • Experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using industry protocols (BACnet, LON, Niagara)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystem.
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. BACnet, LON, Niagra, etc).
  • Ability to accurately estimate building automation control systems.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory guidelines for the construction industry.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant area of study preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in Design Control, Risk Management, and Statistical Analysis is required.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to work in high pressure situations facing strict deadlines. This is not an 8-5 job, Hours will often exceed 40 hours per week to effectively perform this position.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA and specific job site safety requirements – this includes proper PPE, confined space and potentially dangerous job site.
  • Work on construction sites will typically have more challenging access and terrain.
  • Travel is required for this position.
