Security Systems Engineer

Job Information:

The University of Iowa department of Facilities Management is seeking a Security Systems Engineer to manage installation and integration projects for security management systems on campus, including electronic door access, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems.  The Security Systems Engineer will work with Facilities Management, Department of Public Safety, and departmental staff to determine and implement security management systems in compliance with University policies and procedures, including door security, camera locations, sensor locations and software access rights, and provide training on software systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 to 3 years of experience with building security systems (door access and/or video management system and/or intrusion detection).
