Instructor of Business Law

University of Northern Iowa

The University of Northern Iowa's Departments of Accounting and Management seeks applications for a four-year term Instructor of Business Law position, starting August 2021. Courses will include four sections per semester and may include a combination of CPA Regulation Review, Legal Concepts for Accountants, Business Law, Legal and Social Environment of Business and similar courses. This individual will be involved in course coordination, student recruitment, advising and retention activities. In addition, Instructors are expected to maintain their professional licensure and significantly engage with the legal profession. Applicants will find a collegial work environment at UNI.

The successful candidate is required to meet AACSB qualification requirements for Instructional Practitioner which includes an earned J. D. from a nationally or internationally recognized university; admission to a state bar and current licensure; experience in the practice of law; and demonstration of ongoing engagement with the legal profession.

Preferred qualifications include a record of excellence in teaching at the university level; demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; and experience teaching business law; online teaching experience and professional experience that is significant in duration and level of responsibility.
