Iowa Testing Programs is seeking candidates for the position of Test Development Associate to create materials for use on K-12 standardized assessments in Mathematics.
Key areas of responsibility and specific job tasks include:
Develop Standardized Achievement Test Materials
  • Assist with and/or develop materials closely aligned to relevant state and national standards for use in a variety of assessment programs.
Consultation and Administration
  • Assist in development of interpretative materials to accompany standardized achievement tests as assigned.
Research
  • Assist with and/or develop materials to be evaluated for use in assessments and other instruments to support research needs.
Support Education and Outreach
  • Work effectively with external consultants including Iowa educators on development and review of materials.
Budget Oversight and Management
  • Create accurate contract and payment requests and assist management in tracking expenditures.
  • Provide functional supervision of support staff.
Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience, is required.
Experience Required
  • Two years or more of teaching experience in Grades 3-12 Mathematics content area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
  • Experience creating materials for large scale Grades 3-12 assessments is desirable.
