The Apprenticeship Program Developer is responsible for advancing the outreach, development, implementation and oversight for work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training and education delivery models for the college. This position will work collaboratively across the Continuing Education and Training Services division and the institution to execute the successful offering of apprenticeship and other work-based learning programs with business & industry.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide educational outreach and recruitment to business and industry on behalf of the institution focusing on building work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training apprenticeship.
  • Develop program and cost proposals, memorandum of understanding, and related documents when launching apprenticeship, earn-and-learn, and on-the-job training and education delivery models. Provide oversight to implemented programs to ensure customer satisfaction and performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other divisions at the college to manage development of work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training with business and industry.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and industry, faculty and continuing education program developers to ensure appropriate development and implementation of work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training.
  • Work with partners such as the Opportunity Center, Department of Labor, IowaWORKS and other community partners to build awareness and support the implementation of work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training.
  • Utilize workforce data to identify new training model opportunities to explore with business and industry partners.
  • Oversee necessary reporting related to work-based learning models including Apprenticeship, Earn and Learn, and on-the-job training as well as related local, state or federal reporting requirements.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Education required.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Must have valid driver's license and own transportation

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS,LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Two years' experience in corporate training, education, instructional design, sales, or marketing strongly preferred
