Iowa Testing Programs is seeking candidates for the position of Test Development Associate to create materials for use on K-12 standardized assessments in English Language Arts.

Type of Position: Specified Term. A staff member may be appointed to term status for a three year term in order to accomplish a specific purpose or when the duration of funding is limited or unknown. May be eligible for renewal.

Education or Equivalency Requirement

Bachelor’s Degree in English or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience, is required. Typical experience is a minimum of two years. 

Experience Required

  • Two years or more of teaching experience in Grades 3-12 ELA content area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment. 

Experience Desired

  • Master’s degree in English, Education, or related field.
  • Experience creating materials for large scale Grades 3-12 assessments is desirable.
