GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Developer is responsible for planning and maintaining Continuing Education programs with concentration in the continuing professional education and personal development fields. This position works closely with other program team members and the Operations Team in developing, scheduling and implementing current offerings and new initiatives. The Program Developer is involved with program management including needs-assessments, administration of program areas, program analysis/selection, analysis of trends and research, new program development, and the procurement and management of learning facilitators.  Program Developer positions require community involvement, instructor development, and collaborative business practices.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, administer and schedule continuing education training programs for appropriate professional and personal occupational fields and industries and subject areas as assigned. Requires ability to assess local and regional educational needs.
  • Utilize LERN tools, benchmarks, and formulas to market program offerings, determine pricing, evaluate current offerings including enrollment trends and cancelation rates, and develop new courses/programs.
  • Monitor and analyze budget revenue projections, program expenses, maintain appropriate operating margins and other benchmarks in support of CE&TS Department Strategic Plans.
  • Maintain continuing client and student relationships by providing quality customer service.
  • Responsible for recruitment of learning facilitators and appropriate management of learning facilitators.
  • Responsible for community networking, promotion and engagement with instructors, students and clients.
  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work.  Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have minimum of three years full-time experience in an educational or business setting with experience in training, instructional design or program management and development.
