TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM RECRUITMENT COORDINATOR
The College of Education at the University of Iowa is seeking candidates for the position of Teacher Education Program Recruitment Coordinator. The person in this positon will coordinate the College of Education Teacher Education Program (TEP) recruitment efforts, create and implement recruiting programming, identify avenues for recruitment efforts, plan and market events, report out recruitment efforts and outcomes and work collaboratively with College of Education and University faculty and staff. Emphasis will be on the recruitment of highly qualified, diverse students to the TEP.
Bachelor’s degree in elementary/secondary education, communication studies, psychology, or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recruitment or advising experience (typical 1 – 3 years) preferably at the collegiate level.
Demonstrated successful experience working in a team environment by exhibiting good teamwork and contributing to an overall positive and productive work/team environment.
Extensive knowledge and ability to communicate (written and verbally); able to communicate effectively with student, faculty, staff, and other constituents.
Demonstrated ability to mobilize both time and resources to get things done, to meet deadlines, plan, organize and carry out responsibilities of this position with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with recruitment strategies for students from underrepresented groups.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet and maintain the University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards is required. Some travel will be required.
Master’s degree in Education, Student Affairs, or closely related field.
Working experience with student record keeping/data base systems such as MAUI.
